Aurinkoinen aamu, aamupalan jälkeen liikkeelle kohti pohjoista ja Venäjää.

 

 

 

Ajoimme pieniä teitä jotka olivat osin erittäin hyviä ja välillä myös vähemmän hyviä.
Rajan ylitys sujui erittäin vaivattomasti ja matka eteni hyvää vauhtia kohti Pihkovaa.
Tällä kertaa emme kuitenkaan majoittuneet itse kaupunkiin vaan n. 30 länteen sijaitsevaan Izborskin kylän majataloon.

Kylässä on vanhan linnan rauniot joita parhaillaan kunnostetaan sekä pyhä lähde jota myös kävimme katsomassa.

 

 

 

Illalla söimme hotellilla pihvin ja sienikastikkeen, lautasella ei todellakaan ollut muuta kun emme tilanne lisukkeita, vaan eipä tarjoilikaan ollut järin myyntihenkinen.
Matkaa päivälle kertyi 590 km.

Sunny morning, after breakfast we started towards north and Russia.
We drove small roads, part of them really good and part of them not so good.
Border crossing went really smoothly and we continued towards Pskov we good speed.
This time we did not accomadated in the city but about 30 kilometres to west in a village called Izborsk.
In the village there is ruins of old castle that are being under renovation and also a holy fountain that we also visited.
In the evening we ate in the hotel a beef with mushroom sauce, there was nothing else on the plate.
Actually we did not order sidedishes but also the waitres did not have any idea of upselling.
The days ride was 590 kilometres.
